I had my Ffs in June this year and the results are absolutely spectacular i am 6 months post op and can’t be more pleased with the results. I have been looking at this surgery for years and talked to slot of docters but Dr Bart filled me with the most confidence his work speaks for itself the pictures are tremendous. My stay in Antwerp was great I took a friend and booked a twin room I was nervous before my surgery. But the staff were so supportive and made me feel so welcome and comfortable. After my surgery there was hardly any pain just discomfort and swelling. This took a few weeks and months to go down. I felt so looked after after and cared for I have seen Dr Bart twice after my op for check ups. He and his team really care about the patients and that’s the great thing about it. I would definitely recommend him to any of m y friends who want facial femenization surgery it has changed my life for the better. Thank you so much. Emily

Hello 2pass Team, I would like to take this opportunity to say " Thank you " to the entire team. It was a kind of excellent care , which I have enjoyed the entire time. The team in the reception made a good job with a " Warm Hello " as a starter when we came in within the first seconds. It was Ellie , who has guided as within the first hour, as far as I remember. I was really impressed about the friendliness of the 2pass team. The next step was a brilliant consulting before the operation from Bart ! I totally appreciated the consulting with him before the operation. He is very precisely in his job and I know that it is difficult to keep track of the individual whishes of each patient here. Each patient has his own story and his own whishes. So, one millimeter more or less can cause different results. I was totally nervous the day before the operation and the day of the operation itself. But within a couple of seconds after the operation the pressure went down. For me it is good to see that Sina went well although it will take a while until the swelling will move away in her face. For Sina it is a kind of a dream in her life to have the operation. I am her partner so I will follow her step by step at any time. This is the reason , that I stay here as her " private nurse "... Smile ... I will leave on Sunday 12.06.2016 because I have to go to work in my SAP project in Germany on Wednesday. The good news here was that I never had the feeling to be in a hospital. The rooms are fully equiped. No sterile athmosphere. Every person is very friendly and helpful at any time. This is and was brilliant for me. I also wrote a recommendation in the booklet in the office room where all guests stay in the kitchen. Wish you all the best in the future !

Having Facial Feminisation Surgery (FFS) is a huge life decision. Placing your faith in a surgeon requires a great deal of thought and research. My research led me to having FFS with Dr Bart van de Ven. This was from looking at the depth of experience he has, consistent results, cost and discussion with Dr Bart. I told Dr Bart what I wanted from FFS and he told me what he thought he could realistically do. I wanted feminisation and was not too concerned about an age related improvement (however, the lipofilling had the effect of a more youthful appearance). After a lot of discussion we worked out a plan for my FFS. We decided on forehead recontouring with brow lift, rhinoplasty, lipofilling cheeks, under eyes and lips, lip lift, chin recontouring. My experience at the O2 clinic was exceptionally good. Being on my own I really appreciated the care and support from Dr Bart and the whole team. Dr Bart is respectful, genuine, kind and relaxed in approach. The staff were so caring and supportive and we did have a good laugh (well laugh as much as I could manage with an immobile face). After the surgery I felt very delicate and my eyes were very swollen making it difficult to see for several days. Remarkable there was no pain after the surgery just a couple bouts of dizziness which were taken care of by the medication provided. The recovery was about rest, rest and more rest. Members of staff popped in during the day time to make sure I was alright and have a chat. One off duty member of staff even came in the evening to check I was o.k. and Dr Bart was on the end of a mobile phone if required at night. My recovery was slow and I needed the full seven days recovery in the O2. Prior the operation I thought I was going to be able to go out to Antwerp in last few days, but this was very unrealistic. My face was still bruised after two weeks. Everybody will heal differently and it depends on what you have done. I did have numbness in my chin which made it difficult to articulate words which lasted for several weeks. My chin is still numb after four months, but no problems with articulating. In follow up consultation four months after surgery I wanted to discuss a small revision to my nose. My nose had improved, but felt it still looked masculine. I was unsure how Dr Bart would react to my request. I need not to have worried as I did not even have to bring the subject up. Dr Bart suggested a revision before I was able to ask. He said that with rhinoplasty it is sometimes best be conservative at first and then consider revision. This further confirmed that he genuinely wanted the very best results for my FFS. He said would not charge for his services for the revision; however I would be responsible for hospital and staff fees and anaesthetic which I believe is fair. FFS is a daunting; prospect; however it was a very positive, reflective and life affirming experience. I really believe that you need to be transgendered to understand the value of FFS. How can you put a price on the feeling of increased confidence, the feeling of sitting on a train and nobody having the slightest doubt that you are female or the feeling of social integration in a female role. Unless you are transgendered I do not believe it is possible to realise the pure joy that FFS can bring. I am very grateful to Dr Bart and highly recommend him for FFS.

With all those examples of bad jobs done in the field of aesthetic surgery I was sceptical regarding if there would at all exist some place and some surgeon who can keep the promise of producing naturally looking results. However, this clinic here turned out to be such a place. And its good value, definitely not overcharged. Also, no unnecessary procedures just serving to increase prices and sometimes being not really 'healthy' from the medical point of view are undertaken.
